Find portable units, window models, and DIY mini split air conditioners like high-SEER MRCOOL options that cool, dehumidify, and stabilize your environment without major retrofits. Ideal for sealed cultivation rooms, these grow room air conditioners support precise temperature control (65–77°F), remove excess moisture, and reduce mold and pest risks.
For larger or commercial grows, dedicated grow-room AC systems combine cooling, dehumidification, and air circulation in one integrated package. These cool ductless air conditioners help manage vapor pressure deficits and lower energy costs when paired with proper insulation and ventilation. Select your system now to protect your harvest from heat stress.

View full detailsAC size depends on the heat load generated by your grow lights, equipment, room volume, insulation, and ambient conditions. A general rule is 25–40 BTU per square foot, adjusted for insulation and light intensity. For example, a 100 sq ft room with no windows typically needs a 5,000 BTU unit, while bigger tents (like 16×16 ft) may require 18,000 BTU units. For setups using 1,000 W lights, growers recommend roughly 4,000 BTU per 1kW of air-cooled lights (or 6,000 BTU per 1kW for non-air-cooled lights. Always size up slightly to avoid overworking the AC.
Start with proper ventilation, use exhaust fans to pull hot air out and intake fans to bring fresh air in. Incorporate oscillating and clip-on fans to distribute air evenly through the canopy. Use cooler-running LED lights instead of HPS where feasible, and consider running lights at night to avoid high daytime temps. For serious heat control, add a portable, window, or mini-split AC appropriately sized to your grow space
The most effective method is to cool the entire room housing the grow tent or room rather than cooling inside the tent itself. Use a dedicated AC, such as a mini-split, portable, or window unit, placed outside the tent, and feed cool air in via intake fans or ducting. Maintain good airflow so the fan pulls cool air in and exhausts warm air. Many growers prefer mini-splits in sealed rooms for quiet, efficient cooling and adjustable airflow.
Technically, yes, but it's not ideal. A portable AC inside the tent creates problems like negative pressure, heat from the exhaust hose, and reduced grow space. If you do it, pick a dual-hose unit that vents outside the room for efficiency. Still, the consensus is that keeping the AC outside the tent and supplying cool air into the tent is a more efficient, manageable solution.

So far just starting a run, but all is well. I’m playing with the light height and intensity as the run progresses. Easy setup no issues a solid light. I’ve owned dozens of grow lights over decades of growing HGL 350 appears to be on par with the others I’ve owned and still do.
Dulytek presses are outright dangerous, missing crucial pieces can lead to serious injury. I had missing washers on top of cage springs that launched the nuts and clips like bullets.
Very happy with the product. Would definitely recommend over the cheap tents you get what you pay for. Just set it up and about to start germinating my seeds.
