Grow Light Central was founded in 2014 with a simple mission: to make high-quality grow lights and indoor cultivation gear accessible, affordable, and easy to understand. That mission still stands. But over the years, the industry and our customers' needs have changed dramatically.
Today, Grow Light Central has expanded its focus to serving commercial growers who need more than products—they need smart solutions, reliable sourcing, and someone who actually picks up the phone.
I took over the business after seeing firsthand how many cultivators were being underserved. I’ve spent the last several years deep in conversation with people who are at the top of their game. From operators and consultants to investors and facility managers, I kept hearing the same thing: they needed someone reliable and someone they could work with. They needed good equipment that fit their needs, and they needed it at more-than-fair prices. I can’t tell for sure, but I think my success has come from being able to provide that to my customers. It could also be because I am the only point of contact for sales and customer service, and I am available on weekends on my cell. That, my friends, is what my customers mean when they call me personable.
My background? I grew up in South Africa, where bud (dagga, as we called it) was a huge part of the culture.
