Dry trimmers generally result in higher quality, and they give you more flexibility, in that you do not need to hurry to process everything on harvest day, before it dries. Save hours compared to hand trimming while maintaining consistently beautiful results.
Perfect for personal or commercial harvests, dry bud trimmers help streamline your process, reduce labor, and achieve professional-grade finishes with every cycle. The main drawbacks are that more space is required for drying, finding the ideal trimming day (i.e., ideal bud humidity) can be tricky, and dry trimming is not suitable in humid climates.

View full detailsWet trimming means removing leaves from the buds immediately after harvest, while the plant is still fresh. Dry trimming involves hanging the whole plant or branches to dry before trimming away the leaves.
Dry trimming allows the buds to dry slowly with their leaves still attached, which helps preserve potency and terpenes and results in a smoother, better-tasting smoke. This method gives growers more control over the drying process, reduces the mess and stickiness that comes with handling fresh, wet plants, and removes the pressure to trim everything immediately after harvest. Many experienced growers also find that dry trimming enhances the overall quality and appearance of the final product.
Dry trimming allows for more control over the drying process, usually results in smoother smoke and better-tasting buds, and is less sticky and messy to handle. It can help preserve potency and terpenes by drying the buds more slowly.
Wet trimming can be messy, must be done immediately after harvest, and may lead to harsher-tasting buds if not dried carefully. Dry trimming is more time-consuming, harder to trim (as leaves curl up), requires more space, and has a higher risk of mold in humid conditions.
The best method depends on your experience, available space, climate, and personal preference. Wet trim is ideal for beginners or small spaces, especially in humid areas. Dry trim is better for experienced growers with adequate drying space, aiming for higher-quality smoke and flavor.

Came broken and missing pieces but the company was quick to send new foot pads and the missing pieces. Once the company sent correction it was still not possible to put it together as the bolts were not long enough to screw in and there were no instructions. There are two spaces for bolts to hold the leg piece on, the top opening has a drill out to let the bolt pass through and screw in fully, the one below does not, making the bolt too short to touch the body of the equipment.
An excellent piece of machinery, very easy to use, and produces excellent results. Knowing the proper bags to use with the type of product your processing is key to optimal results, so do your research and get the most out of this amazing press!
