Freestanding Installation (On the Ground)

For ground installation, place the Quest 225 dehumidifier on a stable, level surface, ensuring it is elevated at least 6 inches above the secondary drain pan to allow proper drainage. Use the included plugs to seal hanging locations on the top of the unit.

Overhead Installation

The unit can be mounted overhead using 3/8" threaded rods or steel hangers/straps attached to structural members. Do not suspend the unit from its sides or ends. If mounted in the air, cover the base pan holes with the included plugs to ensure stability.

P-Trap Requirements

A P-trap with a 2-inch water seal is required to prevent air from being pulled through the condensate drain. Ensure the drain line is sloped downward, with an open vent 4 inches above the trap to prevent airlocks. The unit must be elevated 6 inches above the drain pan to accommodate the P-trap.
