Add Emerson Effect power to your grow with Photontek FAR-RED LED bar for faster veg, fuller canopy, and high-efficiency yield stacking
Boost Photosynthetic Efficiency with the Photontek 50W FAR-RED LED Bar for Next-Level Growth
Built for serious growers using the Photontek X or XT Series, this 50W FAR-RED LED Bar adds a powerful 701–750 nm spike that takes your spectrum from full to full-throttle. Whether you're running CO₂-rich commercial rooms or dialing in stretch during veg, this bar unlocks the Emerson Enhancement Effect—meaning faster growth, better light penetration, and fuller canopy development when you need it most.
Designed to fit seamlessly onto your existing fixture frames, it's independently powered, daisy-chainable, and engineered to deliver precise far-red exposure without frying your crop. Use it in veg to stretch, early flower to bulk up spacing, or late bloom to push photosynthesis over the finish line. Just follow the application guide and install 2–3 bars based on your fixture and footprint size.
Is the Photontek 50W FAR-RED LED Bar energy-efficient?
This bar delivers 148 µmol/s in the 701–750 nm range with a 13 µmol/s contribution in 600–700 nm, giving it a total output efficiency of ~3.2 µmol/J. That’s miles ahead of old HPS setups (1.3–1.7 µmol/J) and a clear upgrade even from premium DE HPS units. You get more usable light per watt, right where your plants can use it.

FAQs
How many watts do I need for my grow space?
The wattage depends on the size of your grow tent or room. A general guideline is 30-50 watts per square foot for high-light plants like cannabis. For example, a 2x2 ft area may need 100-200W, while a 4x4 ft area may require 400-600W for optimal coverage.
What is the difference between full-spectrum and red/blue LED grow lights?
Full-spectrum LED lights mimic natural sunlight, providing a balanced mix of blue (for vegetative growth) and red (for flowering and fruiting) light. Red/blue LED lights focus on specific wavelengths but may not support plants as effectively as full-spectrum lights.
So far just starting a run, but all is well. I’m playing with the light height and intensity as the run progresses. Easy setup no issues a solid light. I’ve owned dozens of grow lights over decades of growing HGL 350 appears to be on par with the others I’ve owned and still do.
Dulytek presses are outright dangerous, missing crucial pieces can lead to serious injury. I had missing washers on top of cage springs that launched the nuts and clips like bullets.
Very happy with the product. Would definitely recommend over the cheap tents you get what you pay for. Just set it up and about to start germinating my seeds.
