Freestanding Installation (On the Ground)

For a simple, floor-based setup, place the Quest 155 dehumidifier on a stable, level surface. Ensure the base is elevated at least 6 inches above the secondary drain pan to accommodate a P-trap. Use the included plugs to seal the hanging locations on the top of the unit. The installation area must be at least 28m², and all ventilation openings must remain unobstructed.

Suspended Installation (Ceiling Mount)

If space constraints require an overhead installation, suspend the unit using steel hangers, straps, or other structurally sound alternatives. Securely attach these to load-bearing structural members, ensuring the dehumidifier is not suspended from the sides or ends. To maintain safety and proper function, cover any base pan holes with the included plugs.

P-Trap Requirements

The P-trap for the Quest 155 Dehumidifier must have a 2-inch water seal and be installed with a 6.75-inch vertical height before the trap to ensure proper drainage. The vent must remain open and positioned 4 inches above the trap to prevent airlocks. Ensure the unit is elevated at least 6 inches above the drain pan for clearance. Use rigid PVC or flexible tubing, keep the drain sloped, and cap the drain line to prevent contamination. Regular maintenance is essential to prevent blockages.
